2026 Run for Social Impact Team

At the Southern Africa (SoAfr) School of Project Management (SoAfrSPM), we believe that project management is as much about delivering results as it is about delivering impact.  

We are proud to introduce the 2026 Run for Social Impact Team: a passionate group of individuals committed to using movement, community, and purpose-driven action to support meaningful change.

This team is running to raise funds for Read to Rise, SoAfrSPM’s 2025–2026 social impact initiative that will help deliver 25,000+ books to under-resourced schools and strengthen reading spaces across the country. Through our partnership with Books for Africa, the books are provided at no cost.  The team's mission is to raise NAD 100,000 ot the NAD 350,000 needed to fund the shipping and delivery that brings them into Namibia and into the hands of learners who need them most.

Every kilometre they run is a clear message: Children deserve books.  Schools deserve reading spaces.  Communities deserve opportunity.  Every NAD raised helps a child rise through imagination, literacy, and learning.

Why We Run

Across Namibia, too many children still grow up with limited access to age-appropriate books and dedicated reading spaces. Read to Rise is our response.  This project is a practical, nationwide effort to increase access to English-language books, strengthen school libraries, and help learners discover the joy and power of reading.  The team's goal is bold, but achievable: 25,000+ books delivered and reading spaces strengthened nationwide.
