All projects are risky since they are unique undertakings with varying degrees of complexity.
Risk management always involves identifying, evaluating, responding to risks, and monitoring risks. Although these processes may be applied at different levels of an organization—enterprise, departments or business units, portfolios, programs, and projects, this training focuses on risk management for projects. The objectives of project risk management are to increase the probability and/or impact of positive risks and decrease the probability and/or impact of negative risks, in order to optimize the chances of project success.
When risks are unmanaged, they have the potential to cause a project to deviate from the plan and even fail to achieve the defined project objectives. The effectiveness of Project Risk Management is directly related to project success. Organisations must create value while balancing risk and reward.
This Project Risk Management course focuses on conducting risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning, response implementation, and monitoring risk on a project. Our content is aligned with the Project Management Institute’s Practice Standard for Project Risk Management. Case studies are used to apply the theory presented in a practical manner.
